Hailing from Kolkata, he began boxing at the age of six and quickly made a name for himself in the sport. He has competed in over 15 state-level competitions, securing gold and bronze medals in the Sub-Junior Nationals and a silver medal in the Senior Nationals. His dominance continued in the Super Boxing League (SBL), where he remained undefeated. Turning professional in 2014, he has become one of the most experienced pro boxers in India.
