Laldinsanga Ramlawt Wins WBC Youth World Title

 

Bengaluru witnessed a historic moment on 30th November 2024 at the White House in HSR Layout during the much-anticipated Super Fighter Series. Organized by Grassroot Boxing in collaboration with Crown Boxing Promotions, the event delivered a night of electrifying action, capped off by a spectacular main event that saw Laldinsanga Ramlawt crowned as the new WBC Youth World Champion in the Bantamweight Division.

The main event featured Laldinsanga Ramlawt, a rising star managed by Grassroot Boxing, squaring off against the undefeated Nelson Decardi from Ghana, a formidable opponent known for his technical skills and resilience. The eight-round bout was nothing short of a rollercoaster, with the crowd on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

Decardi started strong, utilizing his sharp footwork and precise combinations to dominate the first three rounds. Ramlawt found himself on the back foot, struggling to find his rhythm against the relentless pressure from Decardi. However, as true champions do, Ramlawt displayed incredible heart and resilience.

From the fourth round onwards, Laldinsanga shifted gears, showcasing his trademark power punches and relentless aggression. With precise counterattacks and a relentless pace, he gradually wore down Decardi. By the sixth round, Ramlawt had firmly taken control of the fight, landing punishing shots that visibly affected his opponent.

The final two rounds were a masterclass in domination, as Ramlawt outworked and outclassed Decardi, leaving no doubt about his superiority. When the final bell rang, the judges unanimously declared Laldinsanga Ramlawt the winner, crowning him the new WBC Youth World Champion.

This victory marks a significant milestone for Indian boxing, as Laldinsanga Ramlawt becomes the second Indian boxers to claim a prestigious WBC Youth World title.
