Vanlalawmpuia, the reigning WBC India Champion, began his boxing journey in 2016. A proud Mizoram native, he has represented his state twice at the Senior Nationals and is a five-time state gold medalist. His accolades include gold at the 2018 North East Olympics and the 2019 North East Zone Championship. In 2017, he gained experience in the Super Boxing League (SBL). His rise to the international stage has been shaped by Mujtaba Kamal and Grassroot Boxing, who have played a pivotal role in developing his career.
